The Schools and Families Specialist Services Resource Centre acts as a central point of reference for staff of the ISS, and parents / carers of children supported in mainstream Nottinghamshire schools. They are able to access training, advice, evaluation of currently available specialist ICT and assessment for a wide range of general and specific special educational needs. A separate local authority facility caters for those with severe physical need. Support materials and ICT resources are also provided for children in mainstream settings who have been assessed by the service. |
