Writing with Symbols 2000 wins the Teachers' Choice
All Time Favourite Award
Widgit have come out on top at a major awards ceremony held in London where teachers choose the winners. Thursday 25th September saw the first ever Teacher's Choice Poll held as part of the Special Needs London event at Olympia.
Widgit's Writing with Symbols was named as Special Educational Needs 'All Time Favourite'
Educational Publishers Council Director Graham Taylor announced the results.
He said: "With these new awards we celebrate some dedicated special needs resources chosen exclusively by teachers and specialists through our Special Needs London online poll and the winners represent a mix of brand new resources and old favourites".
Writing with Symbols was chosen from a short-list of nominations, which were decided by hundreds of teachers who actually use the products on a regular basis in the classroom.
Angie McGlashon, Widgit Brand Manager said: " We are thrilled to have won this award. It reflects the products success over a long period of time & highlights our aim to help people communicate".
