Clicker is Crick's reading and writing tool that helps students of all abilities to achieve rapid and permanent gains in their levels of reading and writing. Clicker is used on over half a million school computers, and is central in many special needs environments, as well as a mainstay in regular education.

The Widgit Symbol Set is now available as an add-on to Clicker, meaning that Widgit Symbols can be added to Clicker activities to provide a visual aid and create highly effective vocabulary support for student communication and learning.

 

The Widgit Symbol Set for Clicker consists of over 10,000 symbols, covering a wide range of vocabulary including many curricular areas.

By adding Widgit Symbols to Clicker and ClozePro activities, you can offer a 'helping hand' to pupils who may struggle with text, by providing a visual representation of all the concepts illustrated by the words within text in the form of a 'symbol language'.  This visual aid, along with the aural aid provided by the synthesised speech feature, provides valuable reassurance to a pupil for any words they are unsure of.
