Graphics to support BSL users

The Let's Sign & Write software packages were developed by a close working relationship with Deafbooks.co.uk and Widgit Software in response to requests from families of sign language users and educators in this field.

The Let's Sign BSL graphics and publications are widely used in education for deaf and hearing learners, and families, baby signing groups, residential settings, adult training, BSL classes and by many others who use or teach BSL - and increasingly in the field of special educational needs.

Making the graphics available has involved a great deal of development work in researching sign vocabulary within the Deaf community and in creating the graphics resources - all of which is funded solely by revenue from existing publications, without external support such as grants or funding.

In order to continue to make the graphics available and to develop new work, we have now formed a working alliance with 'BSL for Kids', through whom the graphics continue to be available as loose graphics for purchase in a variety of licence options to suit different needs and usage.

We wish to establish and develop direct contact with users, to be able to monitor how the graphics are used and to find out what new work may be needed and how we can best meet these needs.

DeafBooks, BSLfor Kids and Widgit Software continue our working relationship, to create well-informed, stimulating and attractive resources and materials and will endeavour to respond to many and varied requirements of users.
