Read the Information sheet for ideas on how to make these activities.
1. Storyboard:
Begin the activities by telling the story of The Three Pigs using the storyboard.
2. Table top version of storyboard:
For use with individual pupils, pairs or small groups – to retell story
3. Story structure board
Resource to teach story sequence structure, by identifying beginning, middle and end of story.
4. Pelmanism (pairs)
Can be played in several ways – symbol to symbol, symbol and word to symbol and word, symbol to symbol and word.
5. Word recognition board game
When player lands on a word, he/she reads the word and places one of own colour counters on matching symbol. The winner is the player who places all their counters first.
6. Play script
The play script requires seven characters including a narrator.

This short version of The Three Pigs is for pupils to listen to and read along with.

You may not under any circumstances distribute these to any third parties, they are for your own use. Distribution of materials is illegal.
The Communicate: In Print 2 set of files are installed into the Communicate files/In Print Writing folder, in SIP Activities. This includes any additional symbols or graphics that are used in the packs, which will be available for you to use in your own materials.
As well as using the materials as supplied, they can be modified or adapted for individual needs, for example by adding or removing symbols to give the most appropriate level of individual support.
Communicate: In Print gives you the option to print either as single sheets or as books ready to staple and fold. You can also choose to print double sided.
The worksheets and environments are installed into your WWS2000Work folder. Together with wordlists and additional graphics.
The worksheet files are installed into the Activities folder inside writing.
The environments are installed into the Activities folder inside your Wizard environments.
As well as using the materials as supplied, they can be modified or adapted for individual needs. The extra vocabulary for the wordlist and the extra graphics are provided with the pack and automatically added to WIDRESOURCES (Widgit graphic resources). This enables you to also create your own materials to meet individual needs.
The PDF files give the details of using the activities and how they meet National Curriculum learning objectives.
These files can be printed directly from Acrobat Reader. You do not need any of the Widgit Products to access these files, but you will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed.
