The first 45 words are gradually introduced in this series of reading books. The main character, Zed, is a little green alien. In trials pupils have found these stories motivating and enjoyable. The teacher book, which sets the scene, includes all 45 words and is also supported with symbols for use in shared reading with an adult.

The whole set is provided in two formats: The learning mode has all words supported and the revision mode has only the non HFQ words illustrated. Each book has flash cards at the back for the target words and a place to record progress or write notes. Excellent for home/school liaison.

Print these little books for readers to have their own copies to take home and practice.

Modify the CIP files for example by removing some or all of the words, for students to write their own words in, or delete the pictures for them to illustrate with their own drawings. 38 books in total for £20 as files for Communicate: In Print 2.

Printing the materials from Communicate: In Print 2

The Communicate: In Print 2 set of files are installed into the Communicate files/In Print Writing folder, in Widgit Resources.

The extra graphics are provided with the pack and automatically added to WIDRESOURCES (Widgit graphic resources). This enables you to also create your own materials to meet individual needs.

Communicate: In Print 2 gives you the option to print either as single sheets or as books ready to staple and fold. The Teacher book is designed to be printed as A4 landscape single sided, but the reading books are ideal if they are printed in A5 size. Print them single sided and staple into small books or print them double sided to make excellent folded books.
