The first 45 words story books abut Zed are made for Communciate In Print. These books introduce each of the words, the symbols help children to read the other vocabulary. There are three groups of books working on different levels of words.

There are three activities in the Zed writing set. They enable the learner to write about Zed and his adventures at three differentiated levels. All of the cells in this activity are symbol and speech supported.

with right and wrong sentences
This activity allows the learner to write sentences about Zed using two cells. The beginning of the sentence is in the first cell and then there is a right and wrong answer for the learner to choose from to complete the sentence. All cells in this activity are symbol and speech supported.
Zed Sentence
Building
Building sentences based on Zed and his activities
This activity allows the learner to write simple sentences about Zed and his activities. Each cell is automatically linked to the next logical cell in the sentence structure, allowing the learner to create sentences, and also learn about sentence structure. All cells in this activity are symbol and speech supported.
Using the activities in Communicate: SymWriterYou must update your copy of SymWriter to version 1.1.6845 or later for the installation of downloaded environments to work successfully. The FREE update can be found at: https://download.widgit.com/symwriter/
The Communicate: SymWriter set of files are installed into the SymWriter environments folder. This includes any additional symbols or graphics that are used in the packs, which will be available for you to use in your own materials.

As well as using the materials as supplied, they can be modified or adapted for individual needs, for example by adding or removing symbols to give the most appropriate level of individual support.
These activities are designed to enable the learner to write independently and any work that is produced can be easily printed with black and white or colour symbol support.
