PCS Addendum LibraryMake sure you are an administrator for the computer
You need administrative privileges to install new software. Almost all home users are administrators of their computer by default but on a school network you may need to ask your technician to install software for you.
Make sure you have Boardmaker installed
The PCS Addendum installation will look for the Boardmaker software on your machine and then extract all the symbol files to the relevant folder locations to allow you to use the extra symbols within the program. You must therefore have Boardmaker installed before the PCS addendum Library can be put onto the machine(s).
Step 1 - Select Product
When you insert the CD you will be asked to select the product for which you would like to install the addendum library. Choose ‘Boardmaker Software Family’.
Note: When you insert the CD, the installation process should begin automatically.
If it does not, browse to the CD and click on ‘Setup.exe’.
Step 2 – 00-08 PCS Addendum Libraries for Boardmaker Installation
The 00-08 PCS Addendum Libraries for Boardmaker Installation will then open. At this point it is recommended that you close all other applications before proceeding.
After you have done this click ‘Next’ to continue.
Step 3 - License Agreement
The end user license agreement for the Boardmaker software family will then be displayed.
You must accept all the terms of the license agreement for the installation to continue.
If you agree click on the ‘I Agree’ button to continue.
If you do not agree click the ‘I Do Not Agree’ button, the setup will then close.
Step 4 - Start Installation
You are now ready to install the 00-08 PCS Addendum Libraries for Boardmaker.
Click the ‘Next’ button to begin the installation or the ‘Cancel’ button to exit the Installation.
Step 5 - Installing Files
The Addendum Libraries will then be installed.
There are a lot of files, so the installation may take several minutes.
When the installation is complete, click ‘OK’.
