PCS Addendum LibraryMake sure you are an administrator for the computer
You need administrative privileges to install new software. Almost all home users are administrators of their computer by default but on a school network you may need to ask your technician to install software for you.
Make sure you have CIP/CBC installed
The PCS Addendum installation will look for the Communicate: In Print/ Communicate: By Choice software on your machine and then extract all the symbol and wordlist files to the relevant folder locations to allow you to use the symbol set within these programs. You must therefore have Communicate: In Print/ Communicate: By Choice installed before the PCS addendum Library can be put onto the machine(s).
Step 1 - Select Product
When you insert the CD you will be asked to select the product for which you would like to install the addendum library. Choose ‘Widgit UK’.
Note: When you insert the CD, the installation process should begin automatically.
If it does not, browse to the CD and click on ‘Setup.exe’.
Step 2 – PCS Addendum 00-08 UK Setup
The PCS Addendum 00-08 UK Setup will then open. At this point it is recommended that you close all other applications before proceeding.
After you have done this click ‘Next’ to continue.
Step 3 - Choose Components
Choose which features of the addendum library you want to install.
Check the components you want to install and uncheck the components you don’t want to install.
Check Communicate: In Print/ By Choice (Shared) and click ‘Install’ to begin the Installation.
Step 4 - Installing Files
The features you selected will then be installed.
There are a lot of files, so the installation may take several minutes.
When the installation is complete, click ‘Finish’.
