 Question

After trialing Symwriter, a user has purchased the full version of the software, but when they try to install the full version the software brings up an error saying the trial has expired.

When the user runs the Widgit Product Activator it stats all the software is currently activated.

 Solution

Even after uninstalling and re-installing the software, these errors will still ocur as the software is still detecting the licence information from the trial. To remove this:

1) Go to: C:\Program Files\Widgit\Common Files\bin

2) Find the file Symwriter.licence

3) Rename this file to Symwriter.Licence.old

This will stop the program looking at the trial licence information within this file. The user should then be able to run the Widgit Product Activator and enter the information for the full version.
