Question I have purchased the full version of SymWriter, and installed it on my Windows 2000 computer, but I am missing the speech voices which should come with the full version of the program.
Solution
SymWriter installs voices for a speech technology called SAPI5 which is not included in Windows 2000 by default.
To be able to see your voices, you must run the SAPI5 installer, which can be found in the "Windows2000" folder on your SymWriter CD, or downloaded from the following location:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
Simply run the installer and the next time you run SymWriter, you will be able to select the new voices.
