Communicate: SymWriter comes with the latest Widgit symbol database. You can browse the symbols available by opening the wordlist available below (widgit 09.cfwl) in the Wordlist Manager.

Please note SymWriter will also have additional words available because it uses Smart Symbolising to generate additional parts of speech.

Wordlist File

Widgit 09.zip

After downloading and unzipping the file you will need to copy it into the "Symbol Set Wordlist" folder. The default location for this folder is:

XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Widgit\Common Files\Symbol Set Wordlists

Vista
C:\ProgramData\Widgit\Common Files\Symbol Set Wordlists

Wordlist Manager

You can then use this file in the Wordlist Manager to check what symbols are available to you in Communicate: SymWriter.
