Symbol Licensing

Widgit’s world renowned Widgit Symbols, developed in collaboration with language and communication experts, are so prevalent that many organisations wish to provide access to these symbols in their products and resources.  Therefore, Widgit licenses symbols for integration in software, communication devices, websites, third party products, and printed resources.

Copyright and Publishing Guidance

 

Widgit supports individuals and organisations in the use of Widgit Symbols, but their usage is protected under copyright. Where the user already has a license for the symbols, and the files can only be accessed through licensed copies of software, there is no additional charge for the use of symbols (E.g. a file for Communicate In Print, SymWriter) 

Where the symbols are provided in a different form, either in print, electronically, including on a website, additional copyright documentation and/or licensing fees may apply.
