Age Appropriate Reading Materials for
Children with Learning Difficulties

The series aims to develop children's communication - speaking, listening, reading and writing. It enables readers to extend their knowledge and understanding, to develop a fascination with language, to explore a range of emotions and, where appropriate, helps them to deal with difficult issues. The series is ideal for use in mainstream and special school settings, for mixed-ability groups and for individually focused work.

Each pack consists of:

a 16 page A3 big book, with full colour illustrations
a pull-out section of characters and images from the text to cut out and laminate for use in follow up work
a teachers' book with half termly and weekly plans, plus activities for pupils at different levels
photocopiable differentiated versions of the text at three levels (P5-6, P7-1C and 1B-2C) for use with individual pupils - the lower levels using Writing with Symbols
