The Planning and Review Toolkit for use with Children with Disabilities
All Children and young people have views about the care and education they receive. And they have a right to express those views and to have their wishes taken into account when key decisions are made. Children with disabilities are no exception.
I'll go First is designed for those with a responsibility towards the
care and education of children with disabilities. The pack will enable
social workers, key workers, reviewing officers, fostering and adoption
workers, SEN co-ordinators and teachers to take full account of the
views of children and young people in their daily work.
The I'll Go First pack is fully supported with a Good Practice Guide
containing the theoretical background to the approach, practical advice
and guidance on how this work can be done and incorporated into everyday
practice.
