How it Is

An image vocabulary for children about:
feelings, rights and safety, personal care and sexuality.

The image vocabulary was developed to help children to communicate about a range of important issues.

The vocabulary comprises 380 images that are designed to be used as a flexible, child-centred resource.

This resource aims to:

support children to communicate about their feelings, bodies, rights and basic needs
assist adults to work with children on these issues
enable children to communicate about abuse in evidentially safer ways
assist adults to investigate concerns about children's safety in more evidentially valid ways

These images are available as a booklet that includes a CD Rom. The booklet with CD costs £8.00.
