How does it Work?

Step 1 - Register For a SessionCIP - Basics

After finding the session you wish to attend click on the Register For This Session button.

 

You will then be taken to a registration form and asked to fill in your contact details. After completing this form click the Register Now button to submit.

 

You should then recieve a notification email to let you know you have successfully registered for the session. This email will contain the link and password you need in order to join the meeting.

 

Step 2 - Join The MeetingCIP - Basics

On the day of the training session you will need to enter the Widgit meeting centre to join the meeting.


To join the meeting either:

  • Click the link in the notification email you recieved.
  • Go to https://widgit.webex.com and click the Join button next to the meeting name.

If a password is required, enter the meeting password sent to you in the registration email and click the Join button to proceed.

 

Any plugins required for the training will now be installed, check with your network admin to make sure you have sufficient privileges to do this.

 

Step 3 - Your Meeting ScreenUser Screen

Once in the meeting your screen will look like this:

  • 1: The training demonstration / presentation will appear here.
  • 2: List of Participants.
  • 3: Chat window.
  • 4: Leave the meeting.

 

 

Step 4 - What to Expect

All sessions will consist off:

  • A presentation and demonstration of the product(s) you are interested in.
  • Demonstration of all the programs features.
  • Examples of how to use the software to create resources and examples of how to use these to support your daily activities.
  • Question and Answer session. If you have a headset with a microphone (or a built in microphone on your machine) you will be able to ask questions directly, if not the meeting has a text chat function which you can also use to communicate with the trainer.
