Hot and Cold
A number of suggestions were considered. Heat seems to be universally acceptable as wavy heat lines, but images for cold were more difficult. The ideas most understood are wavy heat lines for heat, and snowflake for cold. However, in some parts of the world the snowflake is not such a good symbol (e.g. Australia) and the alternative zig-zag lines will also be available.
