The ACE Centre Advisory Trust provides assessments, training, R & D, information, advice, consultancy and equipment loans to support the use of assistive technology for communication and learning for people with physical and communication disabilities across the South of England, South Wales and the Channel Islands.

Advice and training available from:
* Experienced Special Needs Teachers (including specialist knowledge in ASD and sensory impairment)
* Specialist Advisory Teachers working within mainstream schools in the Reading area
* Specialist Speech and Language Therapists
* Preschool Support Teachers

We are able to help schools/centres in and outside of the Reading area.

We offer one-day work shops on using Communicate in Print aimed at beginners level suitable for both teachers and teaching assistants working in mainstream schools, units and designations and special schools.

Regular 'Drop in Clinics' are offered following on from the workshops.

We also offer whole-school language awareness raising courses and in depth core language training.

We support children and adults with severe communication difficulties. We provide:
- One-to-one   advocacy for people requiring a Communication Aid and living in Kent or Medway
- A loan resource library available to people living or working in Kent or Medway.
- Widgit symbol training is available to people throughout the UK at the Find A Voice office. There is a sliding scale of charges operating (reduced charges for parents and those working in Kent/Medway).'
- We will travel to other sites in Kent.

Experienced and happy to train: Therapists and therapy assistants (SLT & OT),
Teachers and Teaching assistants, parents and carers at your premises
/ home / school.  Will adapt to the needs of the audience and their
particular interests and challenges.

As a qualified teacher and mother to an autistic son, I have plenty of experience in developing strategies for dealing with difficult situations. I can provide appropriate training on-site for parents and carers, teaching staff, therapists and care workers. I can also offer help and advice about using symbol-supported resources in both the home and school setting.

Rainbow Court supports mainstream schools in the Medway Local Authority. We intend to offer training courses in Communicate in Print to schools / associated services covering a wider geographical area.
