Eat More Fruit and Vegetables

This pack is based around Design and Technology Unit 1C : Eat More Fruit and Vegetables to develop children's understanding of designing and making with food and the importance of healthy eating.
The SymWriter 2 activities include 6 Matching and sorting activities with fruit and vegetables and a simple poem to sequence.

Contents

A set of six activities including:
Fruit descriptions
Find the appropriate characteristics for 22 different fruit. Inappropriate answers are rejected.
Match fruit to text
Choose a fruit and then the corresponding name. Words are spoken as they are selected.
Match pic to word
Match photographs of vegetables growing in the ground with their name. There are 12 photographs.
Match veg to text
Choose a vegetable and then the corresponding name. Words are spoken as they are selected.
Poem
A simple 4 line poem. Choose the sentences in the order you think will make a nice poem. Listen to the whole poem when it is finished. Use this to inspire writing other poems about fruit or vegetables.
Sort healthy and less-healthy
Each selection has a spoken confirmation such as ' Fish is healthy and good for us.
