Materials - Describe
Identify two characteristics of each material.
This activity gives the learner the opportunity to independently write about the characteristics of materials. They can choose from attributes such as hard, soft, smooth or rough, plus many more to describe the material. The cells are arranged to aid sentence construction in a logical sequence and are fully symbol and speech supported.
Materials - Made from
What are the items made from
This activity gives the learner the opportunity to independently write about items and what materials they are made from. The sentence structure is broken up simply into two parts to enable access to all learners. All of the cells in this activity are symbol and speech supported.
Materials - Sorting
Materials - Sorting marked
Sort materials in four categories
This activity is about sorting the material into four distinct categories. Once the learner has clicked on a material in the left stage, they then have the opportunity to match the items in the bottom stage to the material in the title. All of the cells in this activity are symbol and speech supported.
The version that is marked has a spoken feedback when an incorrect choice is made.
