Inclusive life skills learning with Symbol-Friendly® Edsidera
Making awards and achievements easier to understand and celebrate for every learner, wherever they are in their journey
Edsidera Dubai is helping schools, organisations, and communities across the world recognise learning beyond academics, and by becoming a Symbol-Friendly® organisation, they’re ensuring that recognition is accessible to every learner.

A life skills awards platform, Edsidera was founded by Rachael Wilding, who brings over 30 years of experience in education and leadership. Its core awards, including ‘The Little Star Award’ and ‘The Rising Star Award’, support learners at different stages of development, while its ‘Sunshine Squad’ offers a dedicated holiday award programme to keep children engaged and learning beyond the school year.

Edsidera works with learners from a wide range of ages, abilities, and language backgrounds. Becoming Symbol-Friendly® was a natural step to remove barriers to understanding, and help all learners engage more independently and confidently with their challenges and awards.
By working with Widgit, Edsidera has begun embedding symbols consistently and meaningfully across its resources. Widgit’s expertise has supported Edsidera in making content clearer, more inclusive, and scalable across both core and bespoke award programmes, without losing the flexibility that sits at the heart of the platform.
“Becoming Symbol-Friendly® was about making sure our learning works for everyone, not just some. Working with Widgit has helped us create clearer, more accessible resources that truly support inclusion and learner confidence.”
– Rachael Wilding, Founder & Director, Edsidera
