A simple way to represent negative concepts using any Widgit Symbol
While it’s best to try and avoid negatives, we understand the importance of expressing certain situations clearly and concisely, especially when an action is unacceptable, disruptive or harmful to oneself or others.

I have an InPrint 3 subscription. How do I get InPrint 4 and the Negative Markers feature?
The Negative Markers feature and our new BeClear font are both inlcuded with the latest version of InPrint 4.
If you already have a subscription to InPrint 3, you can download InPrint 4 now. Once downloaded and installed, InPrint 4 will run alongside InPrint 3.

I am a new customer. How do I get InPrint 4?
If you are a new user or own a version of InPrint 3 purchased before autumn 2022, you can purchase one of our new InPrint 4 subscriptions to access the latest version.
The Negative Markers feature and our new BeClear font are both inlcuded with the latest version of InPrint 4.
How do I use Negative Markers?
1. Type the name of the symbol you want.
2. Click in the word and press the Add Negative Marker button on the Formatting Tab. This will remove the original text, allowing you to change the text if needed.
3. Then type the word you would like to rename the symbol. When you have finished, press the OK button on the notifications bar or the right arrow key on your keyboard.
This so that the program knows you have finished altering the word. This new symbol will be added to this document’s vocabulary.
Alternatively, you can type multiple words and add a Negative Marker through the Right Click Menu. Ensure that you Right Click on the symbol you want to change when adding a Negative Marker to a single symbol.
Saving the new word permanently
To save your new vocabulary permanently, click on the Symbols tab and choose Save Symbol Changes. You can add the words to your User Wordlist, which is always used on your computer, or to a new Topic Wordlist to share with other people.
