Symbolised resources to support understanding of this global sporting event
The Commonwealth Games 2026 will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, bringing together athletes from across the Commonwealth to compete in a wide range of sports. The Games also include Para sports, where athletes with disabilities compete as part of the same event.
The Commonwealth Games mini-pack offers a clear, symbol-supported introduction to the event, exploring its history, location, and the different sports involved. It also includes a variety of maps to help children learn where Commonwealth countries are in the world.
Resources include a symbol-supported book, fact file, PowerPoint quiz based on guess the sport, games, activities, and colouring sheets, all designed to make learning fun, interactive and engaging for all.
